Whole body cryotherapy (WBC) is a therapeutic treatment that involves exposing the body to subzero temperatures for a short period of time. During a WBC session, a person wears minimal clothing and stands in a cryogenic chamber or special enclosure. The chamber is filled with extremely cold, dry air, usually between −100°C and −140°C, for sessions that typically last 2 to 5 minutes. The theory behind WBC is that the cold temperatures can reduce inflammation and swelling in the body, similar to how an ice pack can help a swollen ankle. Benefits include:
- Athletic Performance & Recovery
- Weight Loss support
- Sports & Crossfit Injuries
- Reduced Pain & Inflammation
- Muscle Recovery
- Increased Energy Levels
- Skin Repair & Skin Tightening
- Better Sleep
